So You’re Thinking About Starting A Business? Purpose Driven Business

Hi Beautiful,

What’s getting in the way of you getting things done? Is it the kids, your spouse, or other family members? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Has pursuing your goals for your business lost some of the excitement you felt when you first started?

Business Objectives Align to Your Purpose and Your Purpose Keeps You Accountable

I’ve experienced some of these feelings and challenges we all have. As a solo entrepreneur, I have challenges that come from family, friends, and the like that can get in the way of me doing what’s necessary for my business to be successful.

When I decided to start Living Blessed Planners, I thought through the potential challenges that making this financial, time, and life commitment would mean to me and my life.

Now, I’ve had some practice doing this because this is not my first business. In 2003, I was crazy and bold enough to open a store-front business with limited online services. I worked a full-time job with three small children and my husband and tried to run this full-time business. I did have one employee (family). Thank God for family.

During that time, you can sum up my life in the following three bullets:

  • Life was a juggling act between my family and my business
  • I wanted to so do much more with my business, but there was not enough time in my day to go after my creative goals
  • I worked crazy long hours and was tired as heck!

I persevered through all the challenges, but I took the first off-ramp when the opportunity came to exit the business. Not because the business was not successful, but all because I wanted my life back. I wanted to know what a good full seven hours of sleep felt like again, I wanted to have time for a real vacation, and I wanted to have more freedom.

So I learned from this past experience when I decided to make this commitment to building another business. I knew that I would need to be mentally accountable and ready for the challenge. But I also knew that I did not want to recreate my previous experience. I enjoy my life, and I want to keep as much of it in tack as possible.

For Living Blessed Planners, I know that I had to make sure my commitment to this business is aligned with my purpose. As I’ve grown personally, I’ve realized that life for me is about living to fulfill my purpose.

Living Blessed Planners satisfies this need by allowing me to share what I know about process management to help other women entrepreneurs like me achieve their business goals and create the life they want for themselves and their families.

I’ve aligned my business objectives with my purpose. The purpose for me is the true heart-felt motivation that keeps me committed to my business. So when new ideas come about, I spend time evaluating them to ensure that they meet with my purpose before becoming new objectives that I pursue in my business.

Why is this important? Because my purpose helps to fuel my accountability which trues back to how I manage my time. When I know that my actions are aligned with the purpose of my business, I’m more excited to work on what needs to be done.

I want to help people, and Living Blessed Planners is my way of helping others. That makes business fun for me and keeps me returning each day to serve and share what I know.

So regardless of the goals you have for yourself, find the purpose that fuels your spirit to sustain and fuel your success.
