What’s getting in the way of you getting things done? Is it the kids, your spouse, or other family members? Are you feeling overwhelmed? Has pursuing your goals for your business lost some of the excitement you felt when you first started?
Business Objectives Align to Your Purpose and Your Purpose Keeps You Accountable
I’ve experienced some of these feelings and challenges we all have. As a solo entrepreneur, I have challenges that come from family, friends, and the like that can get in the way of me doing what’s necessary for my business to be successful.
When I decided to start Living Blessed Planners, I thought through the potential challenges that making this financial, time, and life commitment would mean to me and my life.
Now, I’ve had some practice doing this because this is not my first business. In 2003, I was crazy and bold enough to open a store-front business with limited online services. I worked a full-time job with three small children and my husband and tried to run this full-time business. I did have one employee (family). Thank God for family.
During that time, you can sum up my life in the following three bullets:
- Life was a juggling act between my family and my business
- I wanted to so do much more with my business, but there was not enough time in my day to go after my creative goals
- I worked crazy long hours and was tired as heck!
